How to Play Memory Matching Games
Our matching games are simple: flip two cards, find a pair, and clear the board. This page explains the rules, controls, and the settings you can use on memorymatching.com.
Pick a theme and start matching.
Basic rules
The classic memory game
Flip two cards. If the pictures match, they stay revealed (or count as matched). If they don’t match, they flip back over. Keep going until you’ve found all pairs.
Most players try to finish with fewer moves and a faster time.
Controls
Desktop and mobile
On desktop, click cards to flip them. On mobile/tablet, tap cards. You can restart anytime using the Restart button below the board.

Tips to improve
Get better at remembering where cards are
- Use a pattern: scan rows or columns in a consistent order.
- Remember positions: “top-left”, “middle-right”, etc. (numbers can help).
- Start smaller: practice on a small board, then increase the size.
- Play with someone: 2 Player mode adds strategy and makes it more social.
